Wei Ramen

by Bianca Basaraba

Wei Ramen is a restaurant that specializes in ramen, but also includes sushi, bao buns and other little Japanese-influenced surprises. The difference is the way it manages to create a complete experience: decor inspired by anime and Japanese culture, a space full of themed details (even the bathroom comes into play), plus the option to dress up in traditional clothes for photos.

Culinary Experience 🍽️

The main dish was karaage ramen, with a well-made soup base and balanced flavor. The meat is crispy and the combination of noodles and toppings is very tasty, with the portion large enough for a full meal. I also tried the taco sushi, a light, fresh tasting option suitable as an appetizer.

The plating is simple and tidy, and the flavor of the ramen when served indicates proper preparation. For a night out for two, the place can work well: the atmosphere is light-hearted, the decor is themed, and service is quick, making the experience manageable, especially for those interested in Japanese culture or anime.

What do we recommend?

If you're going for the first time, it's worth a try:

  • A classic homemade ramen - whichever version is their forte
  • A Japanese beer or juice to complete the experience

A great place for a quick meal or a night out with a special vibe, especially if you're into the Japanese universe.
